Final Fantasy XII Revenant Wings review
I just bought it last december and now palying it like crazy. I also have played the Final Fantasy XII at PS 2 last year and it’s pretty fun too, although I prefer Xenosaga III for the best RPG of the year. Now I will give review after playing 70% complete of Final Fantasy XII Revenant Wings
I just want to say that this game rocks!! Well, if you like FF tactics you should love this game! In this game, you will feel many improvement from the last FF tactics (err,, I mean The FF tactics in PS, Not in GBA) in Ivalice world. There are also quickening, the Final Fantasy XII ultimate power for each character. The gameplay is different from FF tactics as this game use The real time Strategy Gamplay, not the turn based.
Overall, the game is really great, although I think the difficulty of this game in just average. The story is really good and not repeated from the last game. We are still explore ivalice, but we will explore the different spots: The Sky continent that haven’t been explored in the prequel. The gameplay also easy to understand and bring so much fun with stylus in DS 
There are 9 playable character in This games: Vaan, Penelo,Balthier, Fran, Ashe, Basch (from FF XII) Filo, Kytes and Llyud (new characters). But in the early game you only can play Vaan Penelo, Llyud, Filo, and Kytes. Every character have the job specialization that cannot be changed. Vaan and Baasch are Meele, the short range attacker. Balthier,Fran,Ashe and Kytes are the Ranger, the long range attacker. Llyud and Filo are flying types while Penelo is a healer. Not much job change from the FF XII games, except Ashe now become ranged as in the previous games she’s a Melee. Oh yeah, Penelo looked more beautiful here than in the prequel game.
I give 9/10 rating of this game. The cons is only this game are not using all the unique DS feature. There are no blow-the mike like zelda, flip the DS like Hotel dusk and not having mini games (at least until I played 70% complete). We just use stylus or D pad to play it. I think the game can be developed more to make more fun
